Where We Go

At Armstrong Fortescue we pride ourselves in getting off the beaten track and our itineraries are testament to that.

Each safari is assessed from both a photographic, wildlife viewing and luxury point of view, ensuring we can offer you some of the most exciting game viewing in the world all in an idyllic environment, with our team having experienced first hand the trip you will be undertaking.

Matt Armstrong-Ford, Co-founder:

“I love the diversity of what we offer our guests. This year I’ve been able to show one of my longest standing guests snow leopards, tigers, polar bears, gorilla, super tuskers, lion, leopard and cheetah all within six months.”

Africa

Naturally this is everyone’s first thought when they hear safari, in fact the very word comes from the Swahili for “journey”.

We cannot stress enough how different a safari in each country will be and so take great care in knowing what you are looking for before we make any recommendations. Rest assured this continent has something to offer everyone and we have a number of happy guests on their fifth or sixth visit to this miraculous region.

Whether it is your first time or your tenth we can confidently offer you something unique.

Arctic

Since our inception we’ve always strived to do things differently. We were two days in to our test trip to the Arctic when we looked at each other, perched on the edge of a little zodiac boat in -15 degrees and agreed we had to have this as an offering.

Since then we have taken those most adventurous of guests to this wonderfully remote part of the world, showing them their first polar bears, walrus, Arctic fox and many other endemic species, set against the marvellous icy Arctic back drop.

Asia

A continent with rapidly expanding safari options, some of which the rarest in the world.

In 2023 we launched our first snow leopard trekking group departure, heading to the Indian Himalayas in the countries far north and showing our guests nine different snow leopards in seven days. Something we never thought possible when forming the company.

We can never get enough of seeing tigers in billion year old forests, something that should be on all photographers bucket lists, while our options in Central Asia continue to inspire. For those after something a little different, we reckon we’ve got it here.
